TIME NOTES
TIME BLOCK
Review lecture notes within 6 hours of the end of the class.
Do a brain dump on the topic covered the same night.
Review topics not easily understood the next day, and the next week.
Studying In The Moment
- turn off the phone and sit at the study desk
- silence notifications on the laptop and close windows not in use
- write down the aim of your study period (what you want to achieve)
- open the study planner, set a timer for the allocated time, and begin the study session
- 5-minute breaks between half-hour intervals. 10-minute breaks between hour intervals.
Absorb Texts Like A Sponge
- Open the respective chapter
- Preview the chapter - skim and try to grasp the general concept
- Read the chapter summary and/or quiz
- Focus on bold prints (headings & sub-headings)
- Read the first & last sentence of each paragraph as you skim the chapter
